Meet Henry - Our RDA Sponsored Horse!
If you follow us on social media, you may already know that we are incredibly proud to be brand partners with the amazing Riding for the Disabled charity: RDAUK.
The RDA's mission is very simple - to enrich the lives of over 17,000 disabled children and adults though horses. RDA do this by offering activities like riding and carriage driving and also providing therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement through their 500 RDA centres.
As well as supporting the RDA with collecting donations from our generous customers on the website (which we match £ for £), helping increase awareness over social media and the efforts of our Founder Erin who is a Brand Ambassador for the RDA, we wanted to go one step further and sponsor a Black Heart horse!
The RDA have 12 of their own horses stabled at the RDA HQ at Lowlands Equestrian Centre. These are very special horses with incredible temperaments and, as we all know, horses are expensive to keep!
BHE are so proud to help with the upkeep of one of these gorgeous animals. They are all special but however how could we resist a face like this?! Meet Henry 😍
Henry is a 13 hh Fell pony gelding. He's 14 years old and has been part of the RDA for 12 years. Henry is a firm favourite with beginner riders as well as the more experienced riders due to his lovely kind nature. He's known to be one of the RDA's best horses for teaching children to canter! Everyone loves Henry 😊
