*This page will be regularly updated whilst we work on solutions for you.

Customs Duties & Tariffs

03/06/2026 - Shipping Update

Due to temporary carrier surcharges affecting some international routes, shipping rates to Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates may be higher than usual.

All shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout.

03/05/2026 - U.S Tariff Update

The U.S. has introduced a temporary tariff on many imported goods. As we already cover U.S. shipping and import duties (DDP), this does not change the final price shown at checkout.

02/18/2026 - Ireland, France and Germany Now DDP

Orders to Ireland, France and Germany are now shipped on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. Shipping and import duties are covered by us, so the price shown at checkout is the final price you’ll pay.

02/17/2026 - We've fixed it.

We now cover all U.S. standard shipping and import duties.

The price you see at checkout is the final price you’ll pay. No surprise fees. No customs bills on delivery.

To support this change, our prices have increased slightly. This increase does not fully cover the additional costs, but it allows us to make Black Heart accessible to our U.S. community again.

Thank you for being part of it.

09/29/2025 - We're back!

Duties and taxes are now calculated at checkout, so the price you see is the total you'll pay. This means no surprise fees on delivery and a smoother shopping experience.

08/27/25 - Important Update

Royal Mail has currently suspended regular services to the USA whilst implementing their new PDDP system, leaving us no choice but pause our fulfilment to the USA. We are aiming towards working in conjunction with both of our shipping providers to offer a duties calculated and paid at checkout option.

🖤

Where our products are made

Our products are designed in the UK and carefully manufactured in China before being shipped to you.

🖤

Why this matters

Customs generally determines import duties based on the country of manufacture, not where the parcel is shipped from.

🖤

Postal and Courier shipping

Our shipping providers are Royal Mail (passed to USPS) and DHL. Both of these providers are calculating duties at the normal tariff rate (around 22% for riding apparel).

USA Customers FAQ

Will I be charged extra when my order arrives?

Yes, with our current structure, U.S. Customs may apply an import duty of 10–25% depending on classification.

What happened to the $800 duty-free rule?

Until August 29th 2025, orders under $800 USD entered the U.S. without duties.
From August 29th 2025, this exemption (de minimis) will no longer apply. This means all orders may be subject to duties, regardless of value.

Can I avoid duties?

No - duties are not avoidable no matter which shipping provider you use. Any products being imported into the USA will be subject to customs and duties.

Rates may vary depending on product classifications.

Who collects customs fees?

U.S. Customs (or the courier on their behalf) collects fees before delivery.

Any duties collected by us are paid to one of our courier providers, who then pay duties to U.S. Customs.

Our Plans

Yes — we currently offer a DDP (Delivery Duties Paid) feature to our website for USA customers. This will mean there are no surprise costs. Your customs and duties will be calculated and paid at checkout.

We are also in the process of exploring U.S. based fulfillment, which would mean no duties for you at all. We don't want to stop providing you with the cutest riding fits at an affordable price!

T&C's Customs and Refunds

🖤

The countries listed below, we ship on Delivery Duties Paid (DDP) basis.

USA, Ireland, France, Germany

This means the price you see at checkout includes all standard import duties, tariffs, and customs fees. No surprise bills. No unexpected charges on delivery.

While these fees are set by your countries Customs office and remain the responsibility of the customer as the importer of record, we handle the collection and payment on your behalf to keep your shopping experience smooth and straightforward.

Returns & Refused Shipments

If your order is returned to us, we will refund the product cost minus any return shipping, handling, or customs-related charges incurred.

If duties or import fees have already been paid to release your parcel, these amounts may be deducted from your refund where applicable.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
