Hello everybody and welcome to Black Heart Equestrian! I am so, so thrilled to finally be up and running! It has been a long but enjoyable journey so far and definitely has taken some balancing between being a full time university student, dressage rider for GB and setting up a new company!
So here it is ….. Black Heart Equestrian.
The concept behind Black Heart Equestrian is about making riding and fitness clothes versatile and practical - for the gym, yard, training, riding and at uni, creating products that I would buy and wear. I am my own customer! I hate things that are itchy or have awkward seams so have made sure our products fit well, are comfy to wear as well as look good. I am a dressage rider and regularly compete in national and international competitions so it’s safe to say I spend a good portion of my life in riding clothes. You can be sure the products have been well tested to make sure they are up to the job!
As a horsey girl and a student, I really understand the concept of value for money and have worked to source the best quality fabrics for the best prices. I am so excited about our products. We are starting with a small range of casual and leisure wear first to see what everyone thinks about the colours and styles. Then soon our signature products of breeches, base layers, show shirts and technical leggings will be here! I can’t wait! They are in production now after extensive sampling to get them just right. I have lots of plans for new, exciting products that I can’t wait to share! The hardest bit is the long wait from signing off the final samples until the products are made and eventually arrive.
It’s been a great experience to work through the whole process from first designs and then to see my own designs actually come to life is amazing! I definitely underestimated the work involved in setting up a new business and there are so many elements that I hadn’t even considered but somehow it’s finally coming together! The highlight and one of the most exciting times to date was when I actually got to ride in my own designs!
