2020 - what a crazy year so far!
Nobody could have predicted what the first 8 months of this year would be like! Covid-19 has absolutely changed the world beyond recognition. Working habits, travel plans, socialising and overall lifestyle behaviour are all wildly different from the norm. 2020 has been full of ups and downs with quarantine and lockdown restrictions, face masks becoming so standard and the cancellation of pretty much every sporting event world wide! Including the 2020 Tokyo Olympics 😔!
With the switch to working from home for so many, leggings have definitely become the uniform of lockdown and despite many people not being able to ride their horses, we have seen a surge in the online demand for comfortable at-home clothing and workout gear. So much so that our leggings are now transitioning worldwide from being equestrian wear into everyday wardrobes. As many of our customers have been furloughed, off school or are working from home, the versatility and comfort of our Sculpture and Flex leggings has been a major factor behind the huge spike in popularity.
The covid related manufacturing delays had a big impact and we have struggled to keep up with demand, pretty much selling out across our entire site. The stock we had allocated for our stall at Burghley Horse Trials in May and Dublin Horse Show in July went online when the shows were cancelled. This has all sold out too! Apologies if you have been wanting leggings and they have not been available!
Our manufacturing team has been working extra hard to try and catch up with the Covid-19 delays. The great news is that we have another huge restock of our best selling Flex Collection due in the next 3 weeks and we are restocking some of our favourite colours plus this year's new colours and sleeveless base layers which have been super popular!
