Back at the Horse of the Year Show 2021!
The Horse of the year Show (HOYS) at the NEC in Birmingham was our first show since the beginning of the pandemic and what a show it was!
HOYS is one of the primary horse events in the UK and after a restructure of the shopping village for this year, it was better than ever. This was our third time at HOYS and our stall has increased in size each year. We have expanded in line with the growth of our brand and product range and although this year was the largest space we have ever had, it was still barely big enough!
Being an online company, it's so important for us to get out to horse shows to meet and chat with our customers. We were especially excited to see the reaction and feedback to our brand new Cara Hybrids which launched on the Friday, mid show. We have worked for the past year perfecting these in and out of the saddle. A major focus was to get the sizing just right and in line with our popular Flex leggings making it easier for our customers to select their correct size.

The response was incredible and it was amazing to see customers try them on and be so happy with the look and fit. By Sunday morning we'd sold out of every single size medium across 5 colours (including the try on pairs!) and almost all sizes of black and slate as well. Fortunately we have a restock due before Olympia along with SIX more new colours which will bring the total to eleven Cara Hybrid colours!
Every day was busy this year but Saturday was the busiest day we have ever experienced at a show - it was absolutely crazy! We sold out of many of our Flex leggings and base layers as well as the new Cara Hybrids which made packing up for home on Sunday pretty simple! We had so little stock to go home with, we were out of the NEC, all loaded on the lorry and on the road within an hour of the show closing!
It felt so good to be back out again and we are now looking forward to a great London International Horse Show aka Olympia in December. Although it's relocating to ExCel in London for the next couple of years whilst Olympia is being renovated. We really missed it last year and it didn't seem like Christmas without 'Olympia'. We have a HUGE stall which we will need as we will have loads of exciting new products at the show.
